v Frome Town

I would like to welcome the officials, players and supporters of Frome Town FC for this EVO-STICK League Southern Premier Division match and hope they have an enjoyable stay and a safe journey home. Our visitors were promoted last season after winning the play offs and I am sure they will be determined to prove themselves today in a higher division. After last season we recognised we needed to shake things up in the squad and bring new faces into the fold. We have worked hard over the last few months bringing in new players and mixing them with good young talent and some players from last season. Pre-season has gone well with victories over Luton Town and Cambridge United the highs. Kings Lynn last week was a good physical challenge for the players and we dealt with that side very well. Expectations will be higher this season with the revamping and increased side of the 1st team squad. Rest assured the management team, staff and board of directors have done everything in their power to move the club forward. Having a 20 man squad will throw up its challenges, with players fighting for places and competition will be fierce. The players are ready for the challenge and I am very confident that progress will be made this season. Get behind the lads and we will do everything we can to get off to a positive start! Ady Hall
