EAGLES 2 YATE TOWN 2 (05/04/08)
Although
disappointed at not securing all three, one point was enough for Bedford to
climb two places out of the relegation zone after drawing with Yate.
Jake Reid put the visitors ahead on twenty-one minutes, but Bedford did well
to, not only pull back, but take the lead. In a scoring spree in the last
five minutes of the 1st half, Jon Darby equalised for Bedford, before Ian
Draycott added another a minute later. On the stroke of half time, Scott
Brice restored parity for Yate.
Bedford dominated much of the proceedings in the 2nd half, but couldn’t find
a winning goal.
Bedford’s next game is on Saturday 12th April at Mangotsfield Utd. 3pm ko.
SUPERMARINE 1 EAGLES 1 (01/04/08)
Despite
gaining a valuable point, Bedford dropped one place in the table. Ashley
Edenborough put Swindon ahead in the 35th minute, with Bedford equalising
straight from the kick off: Colm Kierans getting his first goal for the
club.
The game ended on a sour note with a mass brawl, after Jonathan Woolf had
been fouled on the edge of the Swindon area. After proceedings had died
down, Woolf and Josh Sozzo were given their marching orders.
The next game for the Eagles is on Saturday 5th April, at home to Yate Town.
3pm kick off.
BRACKLEY 2 EAGLES 1 (29/03/08)
Bedford
stay in the last relegation place after losing away at Brackley Town. Guy
Hadland put Brackley ahead, in the nineteenth minute, with Matt Childs
equalising for the Eagles five minutes later. Alex Fisher scored the winner
for Brackley in the fifty-ninth minute.

MISERY AS EAGLES LOSE TO LINNETS
(24/03/08)
A 3-0 defeat at home to King’s Lynn this afternoon meant that the
Eagles now drop into the relegation zone.
Bedford has now got six games to avoid the drop. This includes three games
against fellow strugglers, Yate Town (h), Mangotsfield United (a) & Corby
Town (h).
The next game is on Saturday 29th March away at Brackley Town (3pm),
followed by the re-arranged game away at Swindon Supermarine, on Tuesday 1st
April (7.45pm).
CANARIES 2 EAGLES 2 (22/3/08)
Bedford
claimed a point in a typical derby match at Top Field against Hitchin Town.
Despite going behind to a Paul Barnes goal in the fifth minute, Bedford
pulled back in the nineteenth minute through Josh Sozzo. Four minutes later,
Ian Draycott put the Eagles in front. With a couple of minutes of the 1st
half to go, Barnes claimed a second goal for the home side.
Bedford was forced to play the 2nd half with ten men after Josh was sent off
for a rash tackle in 1st half stoppage time.
The next game for Bedford is on Easter Monday when King’s Lynn visit the
Eyrie.
EAGLES SIGNS KIERANS (15/03/08)
The
Eagles have tonight signed midfield player Colm Kierans. Colm was with
Hitchin but has previously played as a full time professional at Bohemians
in Ireland as well as playing for Dundalk. The 28 year old player will
be available for Saturdays derby against Hitchin.
EAGLES LOSE OUT TO BLUEBIRDS (15/03/08)
Bedford
were beaten by a goal in the 80th minute at home to Chippenham today.

The Easter fixtures are next in line, with Bedford making the short journey
to fellow relegation battlers, Hitchin Town, on Easter Saturday. On Easter
Monday, King’s Lynn visit the Eyrie. Both games are 3pm kick off.
EAGLES LEAVE IT LATE AGAINST TIVVY

points.

The Eagles survived a scare; 2 minutes into stoppage, when Paul Wyatt’s shot
hit the post.
The next game for the Eagles is on Saturday 15th March, when Chippenham Town
visit the Eyrie.
TUDORS 2 EAGLES 0 (23/02/08)

got the goals for the home side.
The Eagles now have a two week wait for their next league game; at home to
Tiverton Town on the 8th March.
LATE GOAL DOWNS THE EAGLES (16/02/08)
In
a match that was far from a classic, Bedford nearly took a share of the
spoils with Team Bath.
The league’s top scorer, Sean Canham, put the visitors in the lead just
before half time. Rob Miller equalised for Bedford from the penalty spot
with just fifteen minutes of the game to go. The winner, however, was scored
two minutes from time by Steve Abbot.
The next game for the Eagles is on Tue 19th Feb at Swindon Supermarine. 7.45
kick off.
EAGLES DO THE DOUBLE OVER CHESHUNT &
GLOUCESTER CITY (13/02/08)

on Saturday at Cheshunt. The game marked the return of Jon Darby to the
side.
On Wednesday, a goal apiece from Josh Sozzo (his first since returning to
Bedford) and Ian Draycott helped the Eagles to another 2-1 win; this time
away to Gloucester. Andrew Stevens saved a first half penalty with a fine
stop, low to his right.

defeat at Cirencester.

Matt Bulman, in the 1st half, and may have gone in at half time three goals
to the good. Instead, Steve Robertson gave Cirencester the lead on the
stroke of half time.
Bedford pulled back into the game, seven minutes into the 2nd half, with Rob
Miller giving Bulman no chance from the penalty spot. Cirencester regained
the lead in the sixty third minute when Paul Cochlin popped up to head the

minute, but pulled his shot wide. The Bedford striker atoned for his earlier
effort, though, scoring for the home side in the twenty third minute. The
lead was short-lived, as Matt Prosser equalised for the Seasiders’ eleven
